Diver Mon Art SUP Board Warranty
Every Diver Mon Art stand up paddle board is covered by a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use. This page sets out what that covers, what it doesn't, and how to make a claim.
1. Warranty period
Your warranty runs from the date of purchase, and the length depends on the component. Keep your proof of purchase — you'll need it to make a claim.
Component Coverage
Board / hull 2 years
Inflatable seams / construction 2 years
Valve 2 years
Fin box / fittings 2 years
Pump 1 year
Paddle 1 year
Leash 1 year
Bag / carry case 1 year
Removable fin 1 year
Other included accessories 1 year
Cosmetic damage Not covered
Accidental damage Not covered
Normal wear and tear Not covered
In short: the board itself carries 2 years, and the kit that comes with it carries 1 year.
2. What is covered
This warranty covers defects that are our fault — things that were wrong with the board when it left us, or that failed far sooner than they reasonably should have. That includes:
- Manufacturing defects
- Premature material failure
- Defective seams
- Faulty valves
- Structural defects
- Defective fin boxes or attachment points
- Manufacturing defects in included components such as the pump, paddle, leash, fin and bag
3. What isn't covered
This warranty doesn't cover damage caused by use, accident, or how the board has been looked after. Specifically:
- Punctures and cuts
- Damage from rocks, reefs, docks, boat ramps or other objects
- Dog or animal damage
- Sun or heat damage caused by improper storage
- Damage caused by dragging the board
- Over-inflation, or inflation outside the specified pressure range
- Incorrect assembly
- Modifications, or repairs not authorised by us
- Commercial or hire use, unless the board was specifically sold for commercial use
- Normal cosmetic wear
- Scratches, scuffs and fading
- Damage caused by improper storage or transportation
4. Inflation and storage requirements
Inflatable boards have specific requirements, and meeting them is a condition of this warranty.
- The board must be inflated and used within the manufacturer's specified pressure range. The recommended pressure is printed near the valve and listed on the product page.
- The board must not be left inflated in prolonged direct sunlight or extreme heat. Air expands as it warms, internal pressure rises, and seams fail, this is the single most common cause of preventable damage to an inflatable SUP.
- The board must be stored dry, and away from sharp objects.
Damage resulting from a failure to meet these requirements is not covered.
For full care instructions, see our inflatable SUP care guide.
5. How to make a claim
- Email us at hello@divermonart.com with your order number, the date of purchase, and a description of the fault.
- Include clear photographs of the issue, and of the board as a whole. Photos of the affected area from more than one angle help us assess it faster.
- We'll assess your claim and respond within 3 business days.
- If we need to inspect the board in person, we'll let you know where to send it.
Costs of claiming: Customer is responsible for shipping costs unless warranty is found to be genuine.
Where a claim is accepted, we will repair the board, replace it, or refund it, at our discretion and depending on what's reasonable in the circumstances. Replacement boards may differ in artwork or design if the original is no longer available.
6. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
