About Mon!
Hello I'm Mon! And welcome to my colourful underwater world :) I am a marine life artist, freediver, scuba diving instructor, and spearfisher woman originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand. I grew up exploring the rugged, cold temperate waters of our coast and learning to dive here wasn't easy (or warm!!) but it was beautiful, our marine life is like no where else in the world. Over the years, diving has taken me across the South Pacific, Asia, and Europe, which has allowed me to experience the incredible diversity of marine life around the world! Im working to bring the beauty of the ocean into daily life through ocean inspired clothing and dive products, unique accessories, and thoughtful pieces that reflect a genuine love for marine life
Designed for Ocean Lovers
My journey into ocean art began when I was volunteering on a pearl farm in French Polynesia. Surrounded by vibrant tropical marine life, I felt inspired to start drawing the creatures I was seeing every day underwater. Then came the big C!! I would say it was a blessing in disguise. With the world on pause, I had the space and time to create a large collection of marine life illustrations.
Ocean Inspired, Purpose Driven
Since then, my mission has been to bring the colourful beauty of the underwater world into the dive industry. So much dive gear is plain, black and grey... We dive into a colourful, magical world why reduce it?? So I started creating designs I wished existed!
Every design is a celebration of marine life, and giving back to the ocean through this work has been rewarding. A portion of proceeds currently goes toward the Queensland White Seahorse Conservation Program, and I hope to continue supporting marine causes around the world through my art.
